Brighton, Utah. Ahhh…is there a better place for powder? Yes, of course, and that’s because every resort eventually has its day in the sun. Ooops, make that a day in the storms.
Truthfully though, taking the place’s 500-plus annual inches into consideration, (measured not at mid-mountain but instead on the circle near the resort’s entrance), there’s darn few soft-pillow snow spots consistently better on a day-in-day-out basis than Brighton. It’s one of those special places where the spectacular fluff falls light and dry, though that’s certainly a cliche whenever you’re discussing Utah’s Big Cottonwood Canyon.
It’s all true, cliche or not.
