  • Val di Fiemme Offers Great Snow And Services

    Val di Fiemme, the renowned tourist resort at the foot of the Dolomites in Italy, stands out because it offers the double opportunity for practising both alpine and nordic skiing to the highest level. The pistes are skiable from December to April, and although there's been huge snowfall already this winter, that's backed up with artificial snow-making.   • More Snow For Italy

    Northern Italy continues to receive regular snowfalls and issued six powder alarms for the country in the past 24 hours. The biggest falls were at Cortina d'Ampezzo with 80cm (nearly three feet), and Limone Piemonte with 50 cm (20 inches). Arabba Marmolada still has the most snow in the country with 480cm (16 feet) on upper slopes. Alagna Valsesia in the Monterosa Ski region and Passo Tonale are only a few inches behind. Full Article
