Spent a few hours at Rose in the 7-9 inches of fresh snow...and more falling the whole time. It's always so fun to find a completely empty run...lots of it fresh tracks.... Full review

Skate skiing...BEST exercise ever!

Skate skiing is a great sport and Tahoe Donner is my fav place to go. Their trails are fun & varied and their grooming is perfect! Friendly staff and nice little warming... Full review

It's the locals place to ski
Pros: Close, easy drive...no "posers"!
Cons: Not great food, but it's a small resort...don't expect much in cuisine!

Pray for snow!
Pros: Anyday skating is good
Cons: Icy conditions are not good
Tahoe Donner's snow was still good for skate skiing Saturday, but Monday was truly like skate skiing on ICE! Lots of pine cones, etc. on the well-worn trails... Need S N O... Full review
