Catamount is a really nice small full-sized ski station

Pros: People, scenary, Great Barrington, instructors, trails, steep

Cons: small, steep, not all runs always open

Catamount is a really nice small full-sized ski station, with surprisingly long runs through really pretty glades and is a great challenge to your technique. Brilliant for good intermediates and below, it... Full review

Stayed in Brattleboro and I had one day's skiing in Vermont, wanted good skiing, beautiful mountain scenery & Vermont small towns. I was going to head to Stratton 9because I had heard... Full review

Beautiful mountains, great skiing, friendly prices and people

Pros: Scenary, skiing, lift system, variety, prices, people, Bagneres-de-Bigorre, Bareges

Eldora - excellent small but full-scale resort

Pros: Beautiful, Boulder, Snow, friendly people, prices, intruction, equipment

Cons: some lifts without safety bars

A beautiful resort just up the mountain from Boulder and Nederland. It is not the biggest, but definitely compares fully with a mid-sized European resort. I had a great lesson with Darko... Full review

    Bittersweet slalom fun

Pros: Slalom, Nastar, snow, friendly, scenic location.

Cons: lifts do not have safety bars, limited skiing.

This resort is very friendly - great change to have John Mellencamp and Bob Seger blasting over the PA. The Nastar slalom course is great value (and addictive) $10 for unlimted runs,... Full review
