  steep and fast lifts

  Pros few resorts in the US equal the steep slopes
  Cons not for beginners

  powder heaven

  Pros powder, terrain, friendly, uncrowded, hip small resort feel
  Cons road from Pagosa Springs can avalanche closing it, aviod Thanksgiving
