I like Spring skiing, but many of the resorts that are still open at this time of year (in the East) are a bit too far. Although I just got an e-mail from Killington that they will be open until May 2, so there may be one more trip left in me.
Welcome to snowboarding! Keep practicing and you'll eventually get used to edging and turning your board. It's frustrating at first, but once you get it, you'll want to be on the slopes all the time. There are a lot of resources on the web to help explain how to turn and stop. Good luck!
