The system shows you haven't attached any images; thus, none to grab. However, on review, it looks like you do have one image -- Mt. Washington/Bretton Woods -- and it's not being picked up. Strange indeed...
I'll see what Programming can offer up regarding this.
You don't upload images to your Photo tab; you upload them to your Resort Reviews. When you upload images to your Reviews and they're approved, the Photo tab is where your gallery of images will appear.
All good questions, but wearing a helmet is the one factor among all others you describe that an individual can control. Ms. Richardson was receiving a private lesson on a beginners slope. Thus, conditions to avoid -- i.e.: icy areas -- may not have been within the scope of her knowledge. All remaining factors -- e.g.: patroller and instructor statements -- are post-injury, and undoubtedly bound in legalities.
Still, as you observe, the facts are indeed yet unknown, and experiences are obviously varied.
>> Why is it necesssary [sic] to make such a comment on the fact that these boys have been drinking?
Because, as you said, it's a fact. It's a statement by police that is pertinent to the case at hand. A quick look around the Web for articles regarding this incident mention either "drinking" or "drunk" --
* 2alpesnet.com: "Alex Smith, owner of Smithy's Tavern said, 'According to police reports, the two men were drinking and playing pool...'"
* telegraph.co.uk: "Police said the men had been drinking with friends in Smithy's Tavern..."
* guardian.co.uk: "The two men were 'probably very drunk' when they fell into the Combe Noir ravine, police in the resort said."
* itv.com: "Interviews with friends also revealed both men had drunk large quantities of beer that evening."
-- so this isn't particular to OnTheSnow. The owner of the bar, the police, and their friends all said it. Even you said it yourself: "...they had been drinking..."

I also remember a good deal of Subarus up there, including what looked like the unheard-of 22b coupe.
