could you please explain to me the difference between in skiing spacious trees on a heavily monitored trail and skiing the tighter, icy, un-patrolled (legal) glades on the far side of the mountain?
there is no arguement to support the statement "follow the rules" in this context
-there is less chance of me getting hurt
-there is a better chance of me getting medical help sooner if i get hurt
-the trail is not as steep as the actual glades
-the woods here are travelled in and out and its just bad luck that i got caught
-i've been skiing for 10 years and i'm in peak physical condition
i downloaded it. the only reason i did was because it could directly connect to the online snow report, weather, images, and website for each resort. $1.99 is probably scaring a lot of people away, i doubt it costed that much to develope.
after reading your review, towards your comment of the lift being in disrepair. the pheobe snow lift stopped for several 5 minutes intervals due to people getting hurt and them loading/unloading the chair lift.
hello chorner, yes it appears that we were there on the same night. Sno mountain's snow conditions never cease to impress and the grooming is always perfect. there were several icy patches and the guns (as i said) were on full blast up on the top of the mountain.
as to your comment about the lodge, i am not sure why there are so many arcade machines with blinking lights , bells, and whistles.. it takes away from the whole "relaxation" feeling that a lodge is supposed to employ.
eagle rock is a joke. if possible, i will update my downhill rating of elk mountain. i would write a terrible review for eagle rock, however i like to stay credible. elk was incredible if i finish studying for midterms i'll go there next monday and probably write another blog. thanks for your comment.
personally, i sware by anon. your paying $90+ but you sure as heck are getting your money's worth out of them.
when i stay local i use the '09 solid black helix's with a curved amber lense- superior goggles that get me compliaments, are extremely comfortable, vented, and keep my vision bright without letting in UV rays. for $110 goggles, they're worth their weight in gold.
for bright days when i need a darker tint i use '07 anons with a silver mirror, the lense is not curved or as well vented, the material seems to irritate my skin wheneve i break a sweat. $120
I love the thrill of park skiing but i don't like the crowd that is coming with it. skiing is a middle-class sport, peak resorts should stop all the snow-sc*mbags that come out dressed like gangsters thinking they own the place, leave that to skateboarders.
