We went to Wolf Creek the day after a snowstorm dropped 18". The trees at Wolf Creek are perfectly spaced. My buddy and I spent the whole day in the trees and rarely saw anyone else. Even when we came out of the trees there were very few people at the mountain. We stayed in South Fork at the Allington Inn and Suites. Nothing fancy but certainly nice. Had dinner at the Hungry Logger. Nice local bar/good food/good prices.
Overall I fell in love with Wolf Creek and have started looking for property in Pagosa Springs.
getting there was interesting but not that difficult. We came over Wolf Creek pass from Pagosa Springs in a big snowstorm but as long as you drive responsibly no problems
