I'm resubmitting this review to add a few pictures.
Wolf Creek is still one of my favorite resorts...the "side-country", or lift-serviced back-country type terrain, is just a great skiing experience. I skied it 20 years ago when you had to wait for a snow cat to tow you back up to the base lodge. The Alberta Lift allows you to enjoy much more of it in a day! Although it's a long traverse to get back to the base lodge from the Alberta Lift, it's worth it for a great ski experience.
Wolf Creek gets WAY more than its share of snow, since it benefits from storms that come from two directions...down the Colorado front range from Canada, and across the SW from the Pacific. If you want to enjoy deep powder with plenty of solitude, you could hardly do better than Wolf Creek.
If you are military, don't forget to say so...last year the military discount ticket was only $28!
