Too bad WC is getting a bad rap for friendliness! The staff does not hate Texans (many of them ARE Texans!) and there is no rule stating you cannot bring your own lunch. They even have lockers and a place to put a cooler. I am a Texan and I pack my lunch every time. Check out the accomodations on the east side - in South Fork. There isn't much of a night-life, but it is extremely family friendly and very inexpensive.
