We arrived the day after the first big storm to 42 inches of fresh powder. Wolf Creek does it right! Short or nonexistant lift lines enabled us to get in tons of skiing. Conditions were great. The Treasure lift accesses some great runs. A couple of days the snow was very hard there due to cold temps but it softened well by lunch. The Bonanza or Raven chairs are good for these mornings as runs are groomed and sunny in the am. The Alberta chair was always empty and got us to some great backcountry type skiing. They have no terrain park but hit the waterfall and you won't miss a "park." Lift run 8ish till after 4. They really want you to get in some great skiing here! The staff was the best, very courteous and helpful. They knew us by name on day 2! Ski rental on the mountain was easy and inexpensive. Overnight storage was free. We've hit the Colorado "biggies" and they have nothing on the Wolf. No glitz and glamor but some serious skiing awaits. Hit the hot springs afterward in Pagosa and you can't go wrong.
