Nice people, decent conditions, not very challenging, very poor layout, very crowded. MJ is nothing but bumps; bumps are fine, but there are other ways to make a challenging trail - steeps, glades, to name a few. WP is more of an upper-body workout than anything else. An experienced WP skier knows where s/he has to begin the tuck to reach the next lift; a skier who is new to this mountain, or a lighter/slower skier will spend most of the day poling and skating to the lift. Really a ridiculous layout for a major ski resort. The chairs are simply put in the wrong place in several instances, the backcountry opportunities and glades are severely limited for a major resort, and the crowds at the bottom and some of the key upper lifts are absolutely atrocious. Friendly staff and a family-friendly feel. Overall, WP/MJ is a yawner.
