Winter Park was awesome! I spent two weeks there FEB 06 before heading to VAIL. The snow was awesome , there was a fresh covering of powder nearly everyday . The runs are varied and there is something for everyone there . If you can stand to walk for 20mins then get to the extreme runs of the top......they're great . If you have just started to venture of piste then get into the trees near the runs at the top , deep snow and a lot of fun , go as fast or a slow as you like , it's a great place to get a feel for riding bumps through trees in deep powder without the slope being too steep . If you're looking for good food and a reasonable night then head for the crooked creek in Fraser . They hold weekly pool comps and poker nights for some good american fun . Winter Park town itself has a couple of places for drinking and music....ask the locals for the best nights and there is fun to be had . I'll definitely visit here again , the whole holiday was spot on.
