Definately visit winter park if you are in and around Denver. It is pretty much the closest resort to downtown, although you could probably successfully argue that Loveland takes less time to get to. Either way the trip is worth it. This mountian is big, and it has a wide sampling of great terrain. Snowfall might not be as good here as steamboat or the wasatch range, but it is still good. Lots of leg burning vertical. The bummer is the parking situation. They are doing a lot of work revamping their base area, and the parking is a mess. That, and I just heard that the ski train will no longer be running up there. That would have been my prefered mode of transportation.
