the variety of terrain rocks, great snow, minimal crowds, great bus system
the town shuts down TOO early.
After skiing several other resorts in Colorado, I keep going back to Winter Park. Not only is it "Colorado's Favorite," but it's Bwana's favorite.
The National Sports Center for the Disabled provides a great service. The resort is extremely accomodating when I ski with my friend who's legally blind.
The Discovery area is a great place for Mark and I to get our "snow legs" before heading out to the rest of the mountain.
The staff are GREAT. When I missed a big shindig for Mary Jane because I had my knee replaced, they sent me a T-shirt and some other souvineers from the event. Although I haven't been able to ski the past few seasons, I'm ready to hit the slopes and Winter Park is definitely on my list of places to visit.
