Winter Park/MJ used to be a great place to go for locals. Until they corporatized so much that it's not worth the season pass price. They seemed so focused on renting out condos and building more amenities, and they didn't open up much more terrain to accommodate all of the people they want to attract to the area. I only go back when I have the Warren Miller free tix, and only during the week to avoid the massive crowds. Great for tourists with kids though, particularly those who don't know etiquette, ride with their iPods blasting so they can't hear you say on your left!, or enjoy standing in the middle of runs 4 people wide, or in a blind spot at the bottom of a hill. Perfect for tourist families, don't hesitate, go now. I won't be there.
