    Pros: big mountain, great terrain

    Cons: pay for parking, very touristy and expensive

    I like to ride the back country and Vail is the closest thing that a resort can offer. The bowls are incredibly large and on a powder day it is easy to catc... Full review

    Go to the Back!

    Pros: Back Bowls & Blue Sky Basin

    Cons: costly

    We were at Vail over Christmas break and had fresh snow 8 of 10 days! The back bowls and basin were not very crowded and seem to be the place to avoid lines... Full review
