If you want a nice, crowded experience with a lot of intermediate terrain, go to Vail. Good skiers, yes, stay away from Vail as there is a small amount of steep-ish type terrain, but it's not worth the hassle to get to it. I agree with the other review that mentioned things like overcrowding and the famed back bowls that would be rated blue runs at Taos. The good thing about Vail is that it attracts people who would be in my way at other mountains.
