Terrain, scenery, town, no car needed
Montrose airport is really bad
Unlike most ski resorts, Telluride is a real town as opposed to a planned ski village. The slopes are virtually empty given that most people think Telluride is difficult to get to. Great set-up for families, no need to drive anywhere. Good ski school, good restaurants, and plenty of expert terrain . My family's favorite place to ski in North America.
Only drawbacks is Montrose airport which s terrible on weekends (they are expanding)
