Beautiful, Fun, Challenging, Not Crowded
Not the easiest place to get to.
I just returned from Telluride after wanting to go there for years. It was a great trip. The scenery is unmatched and there seems to be something there for everyone. The bump runs and hike-to runs were relatively uncrowded as most people seemed to be skiing the groomed cruisers. That was certainly OK with me.
The town is OK, but the draw is really the great skiing. The snow was not spectacular when we were there, but the skiing was just so good anyway that a good time was had by all. I got to ski Spiral Stairs, which had been a goal of mine for a long time, so I came away happy. There are a lot of choices at Telluride. The skiing we did in the two days that we spent there just barely scratched the surface of the many options .
I would reccommend a trip to Telluride to anyone. Don't leave without taking in the views from the top of the Gold Hill or Revelation lifts. Telluride has to have some of the best mountain views in all of ski country! I hope to get back there sometime soon.
