First-hand Reports

Great snow and an over abundance of realtors but par for the course. RealtorTown USA provided great snow conditions, a weird little downtown and several awkward interactions with realtors. The kids liked it but prob something else next year.

Just spent a week with the fam. The conditions were great and terrain perfect for our kids. The town is pretty standard tourist trap stuff. I think I counted 6 tshirt shops and 4 candy stores? It's a weird little dusty strip right on a highway.

OK... its steep as long as you know where to go... using a trail map helps. the snow is better than anywhere else. and the tree skiing is unmatched. as for the town. 3 streets full of bars and restaurants. also people live here year round so its a real place.. doesn't get any better

I see a lot of picky posts here! Steamboat is arguably the best glade skiing in the US and it's a wonderful old cowboy town. I didn't know there were ski towns with well priced food. Go Steamboat!

We had a great time on Steamboat's mellow terrain. The fresh snow helped a lot. We got some new powder everyday. The town itself is touristy, expensive and JAM PACKED full of realtors. Are there any towns like this without the high concentration of "used car salesmen"?
