tom. have fun even finding telluride talk about a hard commute. its 2 roads from Denver to steamboat any one can do it and their is a local taxi that will do it for you. steamboat is well worth the trip and truly an amazing place. also best snow and great steep terrain covering 3000 acres

Tom, you say it's hard or expensive to get to Steamboat and then suggest Telluride as an alternative?! I love Telluride but talk about hard to get to! Just go ski where you want and stick to the sites of mountains you like.

Skied here last winter. Flew into Hayden for the same price the airlines were quoting for Denver. Took a shuttle from the airport. Did not need a car all week. I here people complain about the terrain. If you talk to people you can find most any terrain you would hope for. Snow is great. "Resort" is sleepy, but downtown is a lot of fun. You are not going to find a lot of college age party scene like in Summit. Free shuttles and buses around town are convenient.

Hardly a world-class resort. Subpar at best. Getting here from Denver was a nightmare and even if you fork over the inflated airfare to fly into the local airport, you will probably be delayed for hours if the flight is not outright cancelled. If coming to colorado, save yourself the hassle. Stick to the front range or hit telluride.

Good I was just wondering cuz I don't even like the hike to St. Pats from the top of Morningside let alone going all the way from storm peak
