great snow, tree skiing, laid-back atmsphere, not too crowded
not a ton of steeps, lacking great bars
The snow is light and fluffy here. Its more like Utah snow than CO. And yes I realize the difference is negligible, but its there. You can always find powder stashes on the mountain and in general, this mountain is no where near as crowded and Breck, Copper, Aspen or other nearby resorts. The trade off is the 3 or 4 hour drive for those flying into Denver. The trees are great. I think there is room for better bars in town...any wealthy entreprenuers out there willing to invest? Locals are friendly here and I feel that the "vibe" for lack of a better word is more mellow and less stuck up than other ski towns.
