SHORT LINES, LONG RUNS
NO GROOMING AFTER TOO MUCH POWDER, NO GOOD GREEN RUNS FOR BEGINNERS

Full review

Fantastic snow, short lift lines, long runs with the ability to combine runs top to bottom to create miles long runs. However, not everyone loves deep powder. They only groom once at the end of the day and when there is 15-20 inches of ungroomed powder the next morning, you hear a great many people having alot of trouble in the deep snow. I am a good skier, but with rental skies not made for deep powder, it was very difficult skiing the third day of our stay. Having said that, it is an outstanding mountain. I used to go the Steamboat years ago, then switched over to Park City and more recently to Big Sky for the past 6 years. I will now plan to do Steamboat and Big Sky both each year as I have rediscovered how much I like Steamboat.
