Full review

So I am probably a bit biased as my girlfriend worked there last year, but here is my review of Sol Vista.

The resort is a great place for people to learn to ski. They have a wide variety of terrain to slowly build up your skills. it worked great for me last year (I was there for a week straight and went from having never skiied to doing some of their black runs by the end). The lift lines are always short. The people are very helpfull, and it is impossible to get lost, as all runs end at the same place. The resort would also be great for families.

That being said, if you are a really experienced skiier, you should probably just stop at Winter Park on the way. There is only 1000 ft of vertical and a lot less snow at Sol Vista. But, if you are with some less skilled people or are teaching some, there are runs at Sol Vista to keep you entertained for the day.
