Since when is Tahoe 2.5 hours from the coast? It's 5 from SF. CO has some really GnAr terrain at ABasin, TRide, Silverton, Crested Butte, Aspen Highlands, snowmass. Squaw is like Lake Chutes at Breck

Anyone saying CO has no real terrain should take a trip through A-Basin, Telluride, and Silverton. Until they've done that, bounce bitch

Looking at the upcoming weather doesn't look like they're gonna be able to make more snow until about Monday to open ramrod, maybe Halloween the upper runs could be open...

He aint lyin. Tahoe is only about a 2 1/2 hour drive from the coast, so I used to surf early and head up the mountain for half day and sometimes night boarding. Did the same at Bear Mountain in So Cal, but that snow sucks.

Colorado better skiing but landlocked. We surf and ski in same day. Can't beat that.

Tahoe has Squaw and Kirkwood which are awesome and challenging mountains. Colorado has dozens of amazing resorts. Champagne powder is much better than Sierra cement also... Got rained on at squaw in March two years ago. Was also in Tahoe for their freak winter in 2011, had some epic days but the heavy wet snow was not nearly as enjoyable as dry, Rocky Mountain powder. Tahoe has nothing on Colorado, go back to Cali, bra.
