Our family has been going to Sol Vista for 5 years now. We love it there! We can always find each other, even though we like to go our own ways and ski our own speeds. All ski runs come to the same conclusion -- at the base lodge. Last year we, too, were disappointed to find that the parking lot has been turned into a construction area. However, we stayed at the newer Kicking Horse Lodges condominiums, so it was really a 'non-issue.' We were able to walk just yards to the Kicking Horse chair lift, and then ski right down to the base lodge from there. President's Day weekend and Spring Break are becoming more crowded than they have been in years past, but Sol Vista is still a great place to ski with family for most of the ski season. You don't have to wait in lines, they have great lessons for the kids, and you know that nobody will get lost, since all runs ski down to the base lodge. Our family loves it there! It is nice to have somewhere to ski without the crowds. We enjoy relaxing at Sol Vista.
