I enjoy Cooper for what it is, but it is not the type of place you would stay at a local hotel for the week for. Small and charming, this mountain presents a great day out for the wife and kids. Especially if you have middle aged children this can be a fun place to hang out. But the same positives that make this mountain so enjoyable as a family spot make it less-so for most other purposes.

Do not come to this mountain thinking you will find a variety of terrain. This is one of the few western mountains that reminded me of visiting the poconos in PA. If you come to Cooper knowing that you just want a nice small mountain for the kids to play on, like its their own backyard, that is perfect, but it is probably good for just a day or two.
