@anonymous user - you will be fine. The hype is bigger than the actual experience in terms of difficulty. A guided experience is great to learn the mountain so when you go unguided you will know the ins and outs

So i was at breck and Loveland this week skied most of the double blacks at Breckenridge and skied most of the EX at Loveland wondering if I could try this place I skied marmot at Loveland it's a 50 degree pitch I want to see witch runs are possible here and do you need a guide

People - Silverton has no frills and it is AWESOME!!! Kind of scary when the wind is up but amazing skiing and WELL worth the trip. Going again in less than a month and can hardly wait!!!

Can't believe some of the comments on this mountain. Don't go here expecting lodges and hot cocoa and spa treatments! Jesus. Go to deer valley and spend all your money. This place sounds like a true skiers mountain. I'm glad it's still around and hope to make it there some day.

Big time mtn, snow conditions are variable at best until they get any measurable snow. Definitely worth it for the experience though. Be ready to hike at least 30min from the lift.
