Lame!

Bring a full group with all the backcountry gear or stand around waiting all morning to end up getting stuck with slow out of shape flatlanders and a handful of runs. Four years and we have finally given up on Silverton! Minimal runs on real nice mountains with the guided runs with kindergarten supervision. Can think of at least ten mountains with same or better lines without the mothering that goes on here. The snow in this location is real nice but with the level they have to monitor the skiers it took the fun out of it for this group of backcountry, snowcat, heli adventurers. Spend the money and hire a cat right up the way at Molas Pass and get triple the runs and tons the FUN! If you are looking for tight, steep trees try Berthoud Pass or Mary Jane's trees at your own risk.

Open it fully or close it for goodness sake!
