Powderhorn is your average local family type mountain with above average snow. The powder runs are great and plenty of them, as well as a few steeper runs that will entertain most advanced riders. However, this mountain is very small and takes almost no time to reach the bottom. Top that off with (2) turtle like lifts and you start to realize that this resort is undeniably overpriced for what you get. I've seen worse but I would rather drive 1 hour and 45 minutes to Snowmass and pay almost double, than to drive 40 minutes to powderhorn. The "terrain park" is a joke and snow patrol is almost non existent at this resort so if you do injure yourself just keep that in mind. Overall this mountain is nothing to write home about but if you enjoy tree runs and nice fresh pow than it should do just fine. If you like to bomb down groomers or are into any type of park at all then this is probably not the mountain for you.
