Full review

Powderhorn is a little resort, to be honest. The mountain is not that big, and the facilities are small. And that's what makes it amazing. A mostly-local population and friendly, inviting staff makes this mountain feel like home. And don't think that there isn't enough to challenge you. There are plenty of steep glades and deep powder to get you in over your head. The terrain park was bigger and better last year with a progression of three kickers, and an ever evolving combination of rails and hits. Basically, Powderhorn's the place to be, if you're looking for a home-town resort that can kick your butt too.
