Restaurant and lounge at Monarch Mt. Lodge. Cafeteria and Sidewinder Lounges at base lodge. Many others in nearby Salida area. Ski shop at area. Convenience store, post office, gas station at Garfield. Hospital 20 miles away. Ski and snowboard school, rental and repair. Ski Instruction offers classes for all abilities; learn to ski packages, racing, bump and powder. Also offer Children's Center for ages 3-6 years; special senior and women's programs. Child care for children ages 12 months - 6 years.

    Great place to ski, great value

    Pros: Family friendly, great value, good snow
    Cons: No nite life, must go to Salida (18 miles)
