    Great, Friendly Mountain - Not a Resort

    Pros: Great, natural snow, great terrain, fun staff, excellent attitude

    Cons: Older lifts aren't fast; vertical is a bit limited

    Great place to ski, great value

    Pros: Family friendly, great value, good snow

    Cons: No nite life, must go to Salida (18 miles)

    I regularly ski Monarch. Have skied Europe, most areas of Colorado. Very happy with Monarch. Excellent value, about 2/3 cost of the "name" resorts. Good... Full review

Monarch Mountain is changing the definition of group skiing/riding. Traditional group ski travel has been defined as a minimum of twenty to twenty-five people to receive group discounts. Not any longer at Monarch Mountain. Group pricing is now available to parties of ten or more with all-day adult lift tickets starting as low as $40.00. More
