Great variety, powder days, skiing above the trees, No lodging, lifts, parking
Wind, No lodging, lifts
I've been skiing Loveland since '97 when stationed at Ft. Carson and was lucky enough to be stuck in Georgtown in '06 when that killer storm shut down Denver airport. I've found people either love or hate Loveland no in between. Loveland has a different attitude which is not pretentious like some other resorts. I list the lifts and lodging as a pro and con. Because its a pain to have to stay away from the mountain and it sucks to be stuck on a slow lift on a windy day but these things keep the crowds away from what is a truly great mountain. Other perks are parking within sight of the lifts, meals that wont break you, separate beginner mountain.
