Loveland is easily accessible from I-70 just before the Eisenhower Tunnel if driving from Denver. The mountain is great. It is not a resort - this is a SKI MOUNTAIN! There is no lodging, just skiing! They have a cafeteria offering amazingly reasonable prices. They also have a bar which has a great big screen TV if you need to catch a football game on the weekends! The mountain is excellent. Loveland gets a ton of snow. It's often windy, so you can find some great deep pockets of powder from the drifts. If you are an expert skier, I highly recommend the Jelly Roll (aka the JELLY ROLL BOWL). I have found some very deep pockets of powder and there are some great rocks to jump off! Loveland does not have the longest runs nor the fastest lifts, but it's a true locals hangout. I highly sugest you spend some time at Loveland. And...don't forget to get the lunch special - it's priced right always! Finally, Loveland offers daycare! This is a major plus but make sure you call ahead!
