I spent two days at loveland and simply loved it. The cons I listed were barely an issue. To get a lesson, you have to take a short bus trip from the "Basin" (the main ski area) to the "Valley" (smaller area that includes the bunny slopes). Anyway, I didn't expect a high speed lift from a resort the cost a third less than the big name resorts in Colorado (half as much if you get the "Gems Card" - google it, it's worth it.)

Overall my experience was very good. It's kind of a trek, but if you can make it to Lift 8, the powder there stays fresh and deep, even days after the last snow.
