Thank you for the information on the resorts closing dates. It's nice when people use this app for the purposes intended. the best conditions all year time to get out and enjoy Colorado!

The bowls are nice, but the trees are thin.

The reason some of them have to close is due to elk migration. A basin and Loveland are not in the path of the migration .

Ski resorts are regulated by the Forest Service. They can't just set their own dates. If they want to stat open later it has to be approved by the FS and they rarely approve longer dates and if the do it is only an extra week or 2 atthe most.

thats why a basin is better because they go until may june or even july on a good year. but this is not one of those years so im thinking late mid may for a basin while everyone else closes in april even if its the best year ever and the base is 150 and it dumped 20 inches. they would still close

is the 38" base being reported an accurate representation for the mountain, or is there more at the tops?
