My husband and I hit Keystone for the first day of our 4 day ski vacation in Colorado; it was his birthday and we couldn't have choosen a better mountain. Granted we skied mid week in early January (prior to the crowds), the conditions couldn't have been better! Tons of snow and 100% of the terrain open made for a full day. There are plenty of warm up groomers to get the legs ready for a day full of challenging terrain (if you choose). The highlight of our day was the $5 snow cat ride we took to the back bowls where we recieved fresh track in the north bowl and plenty of challening tree skiing back into the resorts 'in bounds' area. Blue bird skies and powdery white snow stick in my memory of Keystone. Keystone is perfect for all abilities, skiers/riders and those who just want to relax and enjoy the cool little village with it's various shops, restaurants and bars (Parrot Eye's was our fav apres bar...check it out!).....Keystone, we'll be back!
