no line ups, well laid out, good accommodation
We spent 6 days at Keystone, 4 adults, 2 intermediate 2 advanced/expert skiers. First time out west for 2 of us. Keystone was recommended above other resorts close to Denver and I totally get it. The place is well laid out, which is important to us intermediate skiers so that we don't venture out onto a black accidently. Snow was very good, we lucked out with some new snow almost every day. The panoramic views from the top and from the runs are the best, way better than Vail or Breck (we spent 1 day each at those places too). The Keystone staff were great, we were always greeted by the lifties. Absolutely no line-ups from Sunday to Friday! We intermediate skiers were thrilled with the variety of wide blue runs and the advanced 2 among us found the glades especially good, though they found all the blacks/double blacks to be excellent. My only complaint would be very overpriced food at the chalets. Overall, we would go back to Keystone. Great skiing, good atmosphere. Something for every level of skier. The 6 day lift ticket also enabled us to sample Vail/Breck/A-Basin which is a great package.
