I don't think it is as great as Abasin, and it isn't huge but it does have some good terrain which varies depending on how much snow it gets. By Christmas it has been pretty good. As for powder, after big snow storms it can be very good. I'm not a big powder fan anyway. I don't think it blows off as much as other's have said but it can get very windy up there. But if you know the area, you can find some sheltered lift runs. It generally has pretty good packed powder conditions. Spring has been mushy this year and a lot of the more exposed runs aren't good now. The runs vary and they do have three of four expert only runs and some good liftline runs for skilled skiers/snowboarders. It has a pretty good range of runs from begginer to expert. Apres ski is Nederland.. or if you drive 20 miles, Boulder. Ned has a couple of interesting bars and a really good to great local music scene. It's alot of fun but not on new years. Like Boulder it gets lots of kids.
