As a fifteen year local residing a few miles away from the ski area I offer a real snow report. I skied Friday for the first time this season and was appalled at the missinformation board located at the chairlift que. The board read 32" base and 7" of new. The reality of the situation is that we received about two inches on the previous Sunday evening. There may be 32" piled up under a snow making gun but do not bring your good skis, your brand new 800.00 skis have no business at Purgatory/ DMR. Watch out for all the bare spots and exposed rocks. Cancel your holiday reservations unless your a sucker from Texas or New Mexico.
