We came for Spring Break 2011 and while the temperatures were very warm, they managed to keep the place well groomed with good skiing until about 2pm each day. After that it was like skiing through ice cream and the novices and beginners made returning to base very treacherous after that time. The good news is that most of them don't appear to get up before noon, so if you get out early, you can wear yourself out by 2pm and have a late lunch. We stayed in Durango and after seeing the resort, we were glad we did. The town is very charming and we all had a great time. The Durango Diner is in the historic part of town and has an awesome breakfast menu. Huge pancakes, great biscuits and gravy and I swear the best Chicken Fried Steak ever. We will be back.
