Just returned from a few days at Durango Mountain Resort, formerly known as Purgatory ski area. It was like a festive beach party with warm sunshine and fast and furious skiing. The mountain was so welcoming to freestylers from around the state, there for their championship competition in the Rocky Mountain Freestyle Development division. The terrain park was huge fun. There was never a lift line and everyone was happy and enjoying the snow. Full Article

Powder is pounding Utah and Colorado. Snowbird has received around a foot and a half of snow with more expected this week. "A 16-inch storm like the one that came through Sunday is both important to help continue building a base and provides the fun powder conditions for which Little Cottonwood Canyon is known," said Snowbird President Bob Bonar.
