Caption: Sunset’s Torrent of Color across the Gunnison Country Sky : : : : : : : : Good Monday to everyone out there! Today’s shot is of the sunset from Sunday evening in the Almont neighborhood. The colors were stunning and the setting was humbling . . . pretty typical for Gunnison Country sunsets. If you haven’t ever watched one burn down in person, you ought to come check it out. : : : : : : : : Two more days until opening day at Crested Butte Mountain Resort! All hands are blowin’ and goin’, making the final preparations for opening day. So much goes on behind the scenes to bring it all together, from the snowmakers and groomers putting out and prepping the product out on the mountain, to the Special Projects and Information Systems crews giving the ideas people’s ideas form, to the front-line departments enthusiastically welcoming on and training up their new hires. And those are just the folks I can think of off the top of my head. It’s an exciting time of the year and there’s a lot of pride, effort and satisfaction that goes into in seeing everything come together. : : : : : : : : It’s going to be a great week at Crested Butte Mountain Resort—join us on Wednesday to kick off the ski season!
