Caption: Heading for the Weekend with Gorgeous, Snowcapped Mountain Views : : : : : : : : Howdy Crested Butte Fans . . . are you ready for the weekend, or what? I’m not sure what things are looking like in your part of the world, but in CB, we’re on track for a gorgeous couple of days off. The forecast is still calling for sunny skies and temps that will touch sixty degrees, so I’m looking forward to some two-wheeler time for sure. While the single track around CB probably needs a couple of days to dry out, the trails around Gunnison should be in primo shape! : : : : : : : : Today’s shot is from the drive home on Thursday evening. Tough views on the commute, huh? We manage to muddle through some how in the Gunnison Country. That’s Teocalli Mountain wearing a fresh coat of snow. We had more frozen moisture come through the Crested Butte area Thursday, mostly midday. The snow level was probably around 10,000 feet. The upper mountain at Crested Butte Mountain Resort reportedly has three or four inches on it. I have to admit that seeing all of this snow is putting me in the mood to make some turns! I’m set up with new skis this winter and I’m already looking forward to turning them loose on a big powder day!
