Caption: More Signs of Winter in High Peaks Backing Crested Butte : : : : : : : : Hi All . . . how’s the Monday madness treating you? It’s not even Monday yet, but I get all wiped out just thinking about it. : : : : : : : : I end up posting most day’s shots the evening before, and while I took Monday’s shot Sunday morning, I would imagine that with the moisture forecasted for Sunday night and Monday morning, this view is looking considerably whiter Monday morning. : : : : : : : : Saturday we enjoyed clear conditions and by mid day, temps even climbed out of the chilly zone. I took advantage of nice afternoon with a pedal up Walrod Gulch and on up to the top of #409.5. That’s about as stout a climb as I’m up for these days, but reversing course and dropping back down the single track was a hoot! There was a brief section or two of trail with a skiff of snow on them, as well as some windfall from last week’s gustiness. All in all, Saturday was a great day to be out on the bike. : : : : : : : : If I find some amazingly white scenes on Monday morning I’ll post another photo for you later in the day.
