Crested Butte is one of the last true ski towns. We stayed at the Gateway which is a true ski in/ ski out property. Which made it great so we could run in for lunch hit the slope and get the most runs we could in a ski day. And you really want to on this great mountain. It is great for any level of skiers. It may not be a big mountain but every run is really fun. Not a bunch of cat walks. The town is small but, had some very places to eat and nice shops. Flying into Gunnison with the short shuttle ride to the mountain is nice. You do not need a car. Hope to be back next year.
