I live 16 miles from Mt Crested Butte. They have had 300 inches of snow so it is great conditions. The down side is for snowboarders. There are great runs but a lot of flat areas coming back to base. The North face "Extreme Skiing" is the best and worth writing home about. They are undergoing a lot of changes and construction so finding the ticket counter and getting something to eat can be a challenge. The price is probably 20.00 a ticket to high for a ski resort that is difficult to get to for most people. The full day price is 80.00 ouch! There are a lot of long distance serious down hill runs and great double diamonds. The food at the resort is way beyond pricey...2.00 for a bottle of water...just ain't right... Fun will be had by all. Just bring you own lunch.
